I'm sorry if I'm bucking the trend, but in my opinion, the rolls are made with raising agents and aren't as traditional as one might expect given the name "village bakery." Rather average.

We were staying in a nearby vacation apartment, which meant we could visit the bakery on foot. A great bakery with delicious bread rolls. Definitely worth a visit. Card payments aren't accepted, so remember to bring cash. There's also a selection of cakes and sweet treats.
