The employees are very friendly. I was just shocked that a café closes at 4 p.m.... Isn't that right in the middle of coffee season? But that seems to be a general problem in Osterode. The cake was delicious, but it was literally just cream and crust. There are more unusual options, or ways to make a cream cake a bit more flavorful.

The café is centrally located, with a good selection of bread and baked goods, as well as a good variety of cakes and pastries. Friendly service and outdoor seating are available. I had a cappuccino and a slice of Harz cheesecake, both highly recommended. I'd gladly return.
