We were thrilled – we had the sour cream cake with blueberries and mandarins, and also a piece of chocolate Dutch cake. All in all, a culinary delight. And then we met a family from the city wall gardens – Merkendorf is full of joie de vivre.

Really cute bakery with delicious baked goods. My nieces loved coming here whenever they visited me. They have so many varieties of hot chocolates. Do ask or maybe don’t ask why the cookie is called ‘the Americano’.
