Once I've finished browsing the great food shops near Piazza Ghiaia, I always pull up a stool beside the barrels outside Café Tano and join the locals for a caffé. Friendly service, great atmosphere (ideal for people watching), excellent coffee and not a tourist in sight (at least not early in the morning when I visit)

We have been in Italy for a week and all of the meals breakfast, lunch and dinner have been exceptional! Unfortunately, we had our first bad experience. The service was good, but the atmosphere and especially the food quality left a lot to be desired. Not recommended.
