Canusciuti Sicilian Cafe : Via Santa Maria della Lettera, 13, 95124 Catania CT, Italy

We bought Arancini at a take-out shop, with the same name, beside this cafe and decided to sit here for some beer and to eat something. Unfortunately, one can’t do that because they have different owners (management?). Anyways, we had Messina beer, tasty fried calamari and a ‘okay, tiny’ Cannoli.

Roberta was very sweet and kind to us, i had the pizza which had a great dough and a sweet tomato sauce and my bf had the tris di paninetti. For dessert we had a ricotta arancini, i wish it was sweeter but that s a personal preference. Cheap and great food!

Great coffee and aranchini- Although I didn’t like the pistachio croissant, the café itself is really good. It didn’t taste good because the croissant was soft (not fresh) and the pistachio cream was too heavy. This is probably just a matter of personal preference — in Sicily I haven’t really had a pastry that I truly enjoyed.
