Rejoice!!! There is a world class roaster in Sicily, near beautiful Mt. Etna no less. Sergio is a master of his craft, and sells his beans for a very reasonable price. We'll make the 3 hour drive from Palermo, as finding proper specialty coffee in Sicily is nearly impossible.

We stopped by and found Sergio roasting coffee beans in the back room. He took a break just long enough to welcome us, recommend some beans (we bought Nicaraguan) and make us an espresso. This is a third wave coffee shop and roastery on the slopes of Mt. Etna, about 30 minutes from Catania. This is THE BEST COFFEE we found in Italy.
