Stopped here with my son while doing a 3-day MTB-trip (Livogno - Le Prese - Santa Catherina - Livogno) and had a very nice sandwich before starting the climb to Fronatle and Fumero.

A must-visit for breakfast is the Locanda dei Cacciatori during the pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Tirano. It's a walk that starts at dawn, but the croissants and cappuccino are superb. Welcoming and helpful.

Obviously, we stopped for a coffee, so I can't comment further. However, the coffee was good, the bar staff was kind and nice, and the place was cozy, letting you breathe in the mountain air. Anyway, they don't serve food anymore.
